The Landing Museum was inaugurated on the 50th anniversary of the Anzio landing, on January 22, 1994. It is located in one of the rooms of the 17th-century Villa Adele, just a short walk from the train station and the town center, easily reachable on foot. Created at the initiative of the members of the "Center for Research and Documentation on the Anzio Landing and Battle," the museum is divided into four sections: American, British, German, and Italian.
Display cases and showcases feature uniforms, weapons, decorations, documents, battle plans, photos of veterans, everyday objects; all strictly authentic. The museum is complemented by: photo library, tape library, library, newspaper library. Flags, collections of vintage prints, motorcycles, etc. enrich the already sizeable collection, which is being expanded more and more with donations from the Museums and veterans’ associations of the belligerent countries.
